Time Out says

They arrived by boat 15 years ago. Where are they now?

Freedom Stories catches up with asylum seekers who arrived in Australia by boat around 15 years ago. Today they're truck drivers, estate agents, mechanics – even the guy who remodelled Molly Meldrum's swimming pool.

They recount their experiences fleeing war-torn countries and languishing for years in mandatory detention.

The documentary, which screened in the 2015 Sydney Film Festival, is getting a screening at the Glebe Justice Centre in June to celebrate Refugee Week 2016. The night will be hosted by activist and feminist Eva Cox, with proceeds going to the Liverpool Migrant Resource Centre. The friendly folk from Young Henrys will also be providing brews in exchange for a donation.
