Fashion icon and moviemaker Tom Ford will be speaking live from London in a Q&A following an exclusive preview screening of his second feature film as director, Nocturnal Animals, at the Ritz Cinema, Randwick.
Ford attracted praise for his debut, A Single Man, in 2009. Garnering rave reviews since taking out the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival, Nocturnal Animals is a revenge thriller operating on two levels of story: both the personal life of an LA art dealer (Amy Adams) and the plot of the crime novel that her ex-husband (Jake Gyllenhaal) has written. The film (based on the 2003 novel Tony and Susan) is released nationally on November 10.
The special preview screening and Q+A is brought to you by Chris Murray’s PROM (People’s Republic of Cinema). Murray’s the guy who got Quentin Tarantino to host a double feature of Australian westerns in January.
Tickets are $25 and available now.
