A luxe outdoor movie experience comes to Castle Hill Showground from January 12
Sydney Hills Outdoor Cinema comes of age with its third season of movies, food and drinks under the stars.
Twenty movies will screen: mostly recent releases such as The Founder and Red Dog: True Blue, but a couple of nostalgic classics too – Julia Roberts’ streetwalker fairy tale Pretty Woman (1990) and 1978’s musical Grease in its sing-a-long version.
Of all the outdoor cinemas, this one is unique for offering Koala Class – a king size 'bedroom suite', no less, for up to four people offering blankets and butler service ($150). Or you can book a VIP tent for eight ($300).
The smoothfm Garden Bar will serve cocktails, Bilpin Cider, wine, Champagne and beer, while food is courtesy of a pop-up café by Dural’s Wolfe & Co – expect the likes of drunken chicken salad ($18), prawn cocktail rolls ($19) and beef brisket burgers $18. Cheese and antipasto boards will also be available along with hot dogs and sliders. Cold sweet treats are by the Twisted Frozen Yoghurt company.
Gates will open at 6pm, with screenings commencing at 8pm. For the full program and Time Out's picks, click on the Dates and Time tab.
