The Women's Plans Foundation will be hosting a special Sunday morning screening of Thelma and Louise to raise funds for contraception for women in Asia-Pacific countries. The 1991 story of two lovable Arkansas women on the run (Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis) remains inspirational and funny to this day.
It won a well deserved Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Callie Khouri. It's also notable for introducing to the screen a promising young man called Brad Pitt, and for being the other great girl power movie (after Alien) on the resume of director Ridley Scott.
Following the screening Golden Age will be dishing out a lunch as well, and the Foundation will be discussing their work.
