Author Hilary Bell and illustrator Antonia Pesenti have come together to design Alphabetical Sydney: Creative Lab, an interactive exhibition based on their best-selling book, Alphabetical Sydney. The laboratory celebrates the icons and suburban life of Sydney from the trumpeting elephants of Taronga Zoo to the city’s resident Moreton Bay fig trees. Equipped with their own personal Lab Kit, visitors are encouraged to use their imagination and explore what makes Sydney special by following the rhymes around the exhibition and taking part in creative activities. You can expect to learn through investigating clues, writing poems and drawing the city you love. Entry to the exhibition is included in the entry price to the Museum.
