Boomerangs play a big role in traditional hunting and ceremonies – they’re used to keep the beat and rhythm for dancers, to scare birds out of trees and for hunting kangaroos.
At this event, you'll meet the staff from Muru Mittigar Aboriginal Cultural and Education Centre where they’ll teach you all there is to know about the boomerang. You’ll get the chance to paint a boomerang and have a go at throwing it, all in the beautiful setting of Rouse Hill House and Farm.
