The Sydney Observatory is hosting one huge day of kids activities and family-friendly astronomy events during the school holidays. Kids and their sci-fi obsessed grown ups can learn about our solar system at the gravity table and explore the history of the Sydney Observatory at the archaeological dig area. Active little astronauts can get moving at the space-themed obstacle course, search for stars at the telescope viewings and then get creative in the arts and craft sessions.
Parents are invited to come along for free, and they can also take the kids to a Planetarium tour for an additional $5 per person. Make it a full day out and set up a family picnic on the hill after more than three hours of fun at the Observatory.
