Help your little’uns conquer their stage fright or dabble in the art of filmmaking these summer holidays

The National Institute of Dramatic Art is running more than 100 courses over the summer holidays, offering children and young people in kindergarten up to grade 12 the opportunity to tap into their creative side and work alongside professionals in the performing arts.

Whether you’re simply a novice or a star-in-the-making, the NIDA Open courses are available to all, covering subjects from public speaking to acting, musical performance and stand-up comedy. Get serious in the screen acting bootcamp, have fun with improv, turn animated characters into real-life buddies on stage, or discover the world of storytelling through sound.

Sydney classes are being held in Belrose, Chatswood, Cockatoo Island, Kellyville, NIDA’s Kensington campus, Mosman and Parramatta this year.
