Our youngest bookworms can enjoy a full day of reading, writing and drawing at Sydney Writers’ Festival. They’re transforming Pier 4/5 at Walsh Bay into ‘Glowtopia!’ There will be four different sections dedicated to four different age groups.
The Ministry of Noise focuses on musical storytelling, the Department of Stuff and Noise (ages seven-plus) features authors doing ridiculously entertaining things, the Bureau of Artistics is about craft activities and storytelling, and the Royal Institute of All Day YA is for teens who like all genres and authors.
Headline writers include Jon Klassen, Liz Pichon, John Boyne, Michael Grant, Claire Zorn, Judith Rossell and Frank Woodley.
