The Australian children’s play Thai-Riffic! is returning to the Seymour Centre after a successful season during the school holidays. Adapted from the best-selling novel by children’s author Oliver Phommavanh, Thai-riffic! is an original Australian play about a boy called Lengy, the son of Thai immigrants, who is embarrassed about his parent’s restaurant called Thai-riffic! Lengy is desperate to transform his image and just eat some pizza! But through a series of hilarious events he discovers that his Thai background is pretty awesome after all. The show is recommended for ages seven to 14. Author Oliver Phommavanh will attend the 2.30pm performance on Saturday August 12 for a short Q&A. Both adults and children will enjoy the production, which has both humorous and heartfelt moments.
