In Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, Duke Orsino famously says: "If music be the food of love, play on". The Sydney Symphony Orchestra is taking that advice literally this February, with two special Valentine's Day concerts at Sydney Town Hall featuring some of the most dazzlingly romantic music ever written. They'll be playing songs from movies such as Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet, James Cameron's Titanic, Pixar's Up and Gone With the Wind.
To guide the audience through this musical lovefest is Osher Günsberg, who'll use his love of classical music (as well as everything he's learnt through hosting the various iterations of The Bachelor) to introduce the music. So grab your valentine (or your galentine) and head to the Symphony for a swoonworthy night of tunes.
