Time Out says

The electronic music duo team up with Sydney's Metropolitan Orchestra for a live interpretation of their best-loved tracks

Unbelievably, 2019 sees dance doyens Basement Jaxx celebrate a quarter century. Age hasn’t mellowed the duo of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe either; their most recent album, Junto, was choc-full of the excitingly riotous bangers that fans have come to expect. You might think their floor-fillers would be out of place in the staid surroundings of the Opera House and, to an extent, you’d be right. They’re rethinking their sound for this tour by teaming up with Sydney’s Metropolitan Orchestra to reinterpret some of their best-loved tracks, plus they’ll be performing specially commissioned new material. If you’ve ever wondered what ‘Where’s Your Head At’ would sound like with an entire string section plus woodwind and brass, here’s your chance to find out.
