Time Out says

Back in Sydney with their latest album and a whole lot of psychedelic pop

It’s now been over nine years since Beach House’s breakout album, Teen Dream, hit the shops. If it doesn’t seem like that long ago, it’s perhaps because Beach House’s music seems to defy conventional wisdom when it comes to time. Their kaleidoscopic, psychedelic pop melts minutes into hours, and hours into days, providing an intense wall of sound that seems far more than the work of just two people. Last year saw the release of the duo’s seventh studio album – the aptly-titled 7 – and they’re back in Sydney for the first time since a well-received Opera House show three years ago. Expect drones, reverb, chiming guitars and plenty of songs to remind you of both the goth movement of the 1980s and the early '90s shoegaze scene.
