Time Out says

Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty have been weaving personal poetry into their danceable pop music since 2011, and their latest album Love Is Dead takes a more political turn, responding to the uncertain state of the world right now. The Scottish band enlisted powerhouse producer Greg Kurstin (who's worked with Adele and Sia) and Matt Berninger of the National to create 2018’s ‘My Enemy’, which has Chvrches’ signature synth-pop slowed down to a brooding political statement. The trio have become a staple in the global festival circuit playing Coachella and Glastonbury, and now they’ll kick off 2019 with their first concert at Sydney Opera House. Expect to hear the post-apocalyptic dance anthem ‘Miracle’ and older favourites like ‘Leave A Trace’ and ‘Clearest Blue’ from their second album Every Open Eye.
