Time Out says

Newtown's got a shiny new free gig night

The Bank Hotel will make way for up-and-coming local musicians every Tuesday night at its new, free weekly live gig night, Cobra Club. Presenting an eclectic range of bands, Cobra Club will celebrate fresh faces and local legends every week in the heart of the Inner West.

To kick things off on September 19 they've enlisted sunny Sydney indie rockers Flower Truck, with support from synth-heavy three-piece Gauci.

On September 26 you'll hear from Big White and Phanosland; October 3 will see Tropical Strength and Luke Spook (of the Pinheads); followed by Marcus Whale (of BV) and Din on October 10.

So round up some mates and head down for your weekly dose of excellent (and free) live music at Cobra Club.
