Death and the Maiden

Schubert’s ‘Death and the Maiden’ is known as one of the definitive and most extraordinary works in the classical repertoire, full of sudden and dramatic changes. The ACO will perform with superstar Russian-born violinist Alina Ibragimova. The program also features Samuel Barber’s ‘Adagio for Strings’, famously used in the soundtrack for Oliver Stone’s 1986 film Platoon.
