Time Out says

A '90s pop-punk revival is headed Down Under, with headliners Green Day supported by Fall Out Boy and Weezer

The Twittersphere had been abuzz with rumours that the founding fathers of pop-punk, Green Day, alongside rock royalty Weezer and Fall Out Boy, would soon be headed our way, after all three acts posted tantalising Aussie flag emojis on February 5.

Now, this much-anticipated visit has been confirmed, with a four-city stadium tour taking in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Parramatta set for November. So, you better dust off those Vans, stock up on extra-strength hair gel and get ready to frost your tips, because '90s you is ready and raring to mosh.

The Hella Mega Tour is promoting both Green Day’s newly released album Father of All Motherfuckers, and Weezer’s upcoming release, Van Weezer, due to drop in May. It will also no doubt boost Aussie sales of Fall Out Boy’s Greatest Hits: Believers Never Die – Volume Two, released last November.

In the spirit of so many megastar musicians in recent months, the tour will also be supporting Australia’s bushfire relief efforts, with $1 from every ticket sold at all four shows pledged to the NSW Rural Fire Service and County Fire Authority in Victoria.

Tickets go on sale to the public on February 14.
