Time Out says

One of the world’s greatest jazz ensembles is performing at the Sydney Opera House over four grand nights

All rise for one of the greatest jazz bands in the world. Manhattan-based ensemble Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will bring its spellbinding sounds to the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall from August 31 to September 3. Staged over two concerts, this is a rare opportunity to witness the renowned band join forces with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra or to see their soulful solo renditions of timeless jazz classics.

All Rise

Legendary jazz musician Wynton Marsalis composed All Rise, a series of 12 epic movements combining elements of jazz, classical and choral music, back in 1999. Now, more than two decades later, Sydney audiences will finally have the opportunity to hear All Rise live in concert, as it’s brought to life by the talented musicians of Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Philharmonia Choirs.

Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra

Following All Rise, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will return to the stage for two exhilarating solo performances. These energetic performances of Jazz at Lincoln Center will transport you to the golden era of classic jazz, with Marsalis himself leading on trumpet.

All Rise will play at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on August 31 and September 1, followed by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra’s solo performances on September 2 and 3. Tickets start at $59, plus a booking fee, with concessions available and you can get yours online here.
