It can be difficult to find the sweet spot where a rhythmic beat becomes addictive and not mind-numbingly repetitive, but this UK outfit manage to hit that nail without sore thumbs every time. Jungle have been bringing bopping modern soul sounds to our airwaves since 2014, and they’ll be bringing their most recent album, For Ever, to our shores in April.
Led by childhood mates Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, the group will show off the new set, which was heavily influenced by their short-lived stint as residents in LA. Listen out for fresh tunes like the bubbling ‘Heavy, California’, wistful ‘House in La’ and the more melancholy ‘Cherry’.
Long-time fans are sure to demand a live rendition of the danceable favourites ‘Busy Earnin’’ and ‘the Heat’, and we reckon these very cool dudes will be happy to oblige.
