Time Out says

Parties and movies will permeate every level of the Kings Cross Hotel for the festival of music, light and ideas

Vivid Sydney will be making its way to the Cross with music and ideas taking over the sprawling Kings Cross Hotel. Local DJs, film aficionados and party starters will all be stopping by.

First up on Saturday May 27 from 9pm will be Welcome to Kings Cross, a collaboration between five party collectives – Bad Deep, Keep It Disco, Rhythm of the Night, Shantan Wantan Ichiban and Uptown. This knees-up will celebrate the glory days of our original party district with disco, house and party tunes all night long. DJs such as Andy Webb, Ariane, Levins, Dom Alessio, Flexmami and Side Hustle will pack out the entire hotel.

From 8-11pm June 1-17 (Thu-Sat), cinephiles will want to get across Cult Sinema Australiana. Curated and presented by Jay Katz and Miss Death, the screenings of retro/cult Australian movies such as Wake in Fright, The Man from Hong Kong and Sons of Steel will each be accompanied by special guest appearance – usually someone directly involved with the movie's making.

Cult Sinema will be followed by a daring program of nine unique, immersive, one-off Basement Parties in the hotel's intimate Dive Bar.

Head to the Kings Cross Hotel for this diverse program of music, film and late night culture – tickets are available now.
