Time Out says

This free outdoor concert in Parramatta is celebrating live and local music

Every year on June 21, musicians around the globe make some noise for Make Music Day. For 35 years, this celebration has seen hundreds of cities support live music by hosting a free, one-day music festival. Last year more than 800 cities – including Sydney – joined in around the world, and this month the music extravaganza returns to Parramatta.

Centenary Square will see a host of local musicians bring diverse sounds to the city. Hear indie-pop, hip-hop mixer Mike Akox perform his smooth beats alongside African drum and dance group Yacou Mbaye, neo-soul groover Mel Bailey and electro hip-hop funk ‘Tokyo’ singer, Mike Champion.

Audiences are also encouraged to bring their own mics and musical enthusiasm and perform in the square.
