The 27 Club parties pay tribute to rock’n’roll legends who tragically left us at the age of 27.
El Camino, the Tex-Mex venue in the Rocks, has been hosting the parties every month since June, with lively and respectful celebrations of Jim Morrison (The Doors), Brian Jones (The Rolling Stones) and Jimi Hendrix. This month it’s Amy Winehouse.
Start the night from 5pm with $2 tacos. There is Amy Winehouse trivia, and from 7.30pm the Amy Winehouse tribute band Zealous will play hits from ‘Rehab’ to ‘Tears Dry on Their Own’.

The coming months will also see evenings dedicated to Ron ‘Pigpen’ McKernan (The Grateful Dead, October 27), Janis Joplin (November 27) and of course Kurt Cobain (Nirvana, December 27).
