Thanks to the Sydney Operas House's From Our House to Yours digital platform, now you can find out and, sheesh, is it an impressive effort. 

From crafting beautiful costumes to building the incredible sets and corraling a huge cast of singers, this behind-the-scenes vid reveals the intricate details of putting on their 2016 performance of Georges Bizet's treasured opera The Pearlfishers. It's an eye-opener.

Streaming on From Our House to Yours on Saturday, April 25 at 8pm AEST, the making-of video will be available to view any time after that.
