Time Out says
She’s keeping that same energy and bringing it down under
Harlem native Teyana Taylor is set to arrive in Australia during Vivid for her first (and only) Sydney show. The R’n’B singer-songwriter will bring soulful vibes to the stage playing hits from her latest album 'K.T.S.E', which is produced by Kanye West.
Taylor’s powerful voice will ring out across a sea of fans at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid Live. This long-standing gig-series presented for the winter festival has seen the likes of hip-hop and R’n’B legends Ms. Lauryn Hill and H.E.R, so Taylor is in good company.
And we’re prepared for her to bring the heat, performance-wise. Her epic choreography in Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ music video won her the award for best choreography at the 2017 MTV Music Awards and best dance performance at the 2016 Soul Train Music Awards.
Taylor is now signed with West’s GOOD Music label and has a collection of impressive collaborations under her belt. We’re expecting some well-informed, old-school vibes with flavours of Kid Cudi, Pusha T and a hint of John Legend.
