There's a brand new night of live performance in the back streets of Redfern. Club Cabaret will take place at 5pm, one Sunday of every month at Cake Wines Cellar Door.
The event, curated and hosted by cabaret artist Danielle Asciak, is "a space for emerging and independent artists to trial out their work as an intermediary platform to full seasons, touring and festivals." Asciak runs courses at Work-Shop, and it was through these she realised "artists crave a space reminiscent to the cabaret spaces of lost times, to share their work, drink and connect with people."
The night will feature a diverse group of performers, from burlesque artists to singers to comedians and music theater artists.
Club Cabaret is free, but you can reserve a table through the Cake Wines website.
