Newtown's Bank Hotel might not be a stop-off on the path of the (cancelled) King Street bar crawl this year, but it's not going to let the annual occasion go unmarked.
While the annual Newtown tradition of the King Street bar crawl won't be running in 2020 as a result of venue restrictions, you can still scoff bottomless pizza on the first Sunday of September when the crawl would ordinarily have taken place.
The Bank will be celebrating five years of the King Street Crawl on September 6 by playing the greatest hits from acts who've performed on the Crawl all throughout its halfa decade-long history. Tunes will include those from local and far-off acts like the Cosmic Psychos, Straight Arrows, I Know Leopard, WAAX, The Pinheads, Genesis Owusu, Triple One, Abbe May, Body Type, DZ Deathrays and so many more. Sydney legends including Izzy from The Preatures and Novak of the Polish Club will then be tantalising your earbuds with DJ sets all evening long.
You can listen while tucking into slice after slice of pizza for just $25 per person between 12.30-2.30pm. All that crust is bound to make you thirsty – so 4 Pines jugs will be $17, too. Book online at the Bank Hotel.
