Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

Hot stone bowls, black rice, pickles and great service are what this tiny Korean hole-in-the-wall is all about

Is there anything quite so restorative as a scalding-hot, ultra honey-sweet cup of fresh ginger tea when you’re nursing, well, anything? No. There’s not. Not even a really nice cuddle. Order a cup at Bibim to Mix – a sweet Korean caff on William Street. The dolsot is basically a heavy, sizzling-hot stone bowl. Don’t be tempted to test your luck by touching it with your bare hands – mark our words (and scorched paws), it’ll burn ya. Cooked black rice sits toasting at the bottom of the bowl layered with marinated beef (you can also have pork, chicken or tofu), pickled vegetables, and a side of mild chilli sauce. Mix the whole lot together while the bowl toasts your lunch. Did we mention Bibim to Mix is also very close to Time Out’s favourite choc-shop, Kakawa? Hot rocks and sweet treats ahoy.
