Time Out says

Let your tastebuds take the lead at this new, in-the-dark dining experience

It's well-documented that inhibiting one of your senses allows the others to perceive on a more intense level, but why not test that theory for yourself? At new event series Dining in the Dark, you'll settle in for a multi-course meal – in totally pitch black surrounds.

You'll be guided to your dinner at Olio Kensington Street, where you'll choose from three set menus of two courses each. Slip on a blindfold and let your less-used senses take over: no 'gramming opportunities here, but you'll make up for it with a truly unusual, sensory experience focussing on smell, taste, texture and sound.

Also under the cover of darkness? Your food. The menu is under wraps until the night (but dietary requirements can be catered for).

Tickets are $90 per person, and include a luxe, 90-minute meal, plus a drink. There are two sessions available each Wednesday between May 20 and June 3.
