Back in 2016, Folonomo (an abbreviation of "for love, not money") made a strong impression on the Surry Hills restaurant scene and earned a five-star review from Time Out for wholesome food with a charitable conscience. While it's no longer open for dining, the heritage building is now a profit-for-purpose space helmed by chef Michal Siudeja (ex-Mecca), and available for parties, functions and special events for up to 100 people. Past dinners have included feasts from Hartsyard and Dear Sainte Éloise to raise money for mental health and muscular dystrophy.
