Killara's own Greengate Hotel is now home to a stylish new restaurant, Greengate Terrace. Redesigned and launched by Joshua Luff and Brett Windley (who worked together at the lauded Aria) Greengate Terrace retains the charm of the much loved hotel while also channelling a fresh, new minimalist facade and menu.

The restaurant’s food ethos is centred around seasonal produce, flexibility and family-friendly options, with everything from small share plates right through to a full three-course dining experience available.

Head chef Robert O'Callaghan has devised a menu that firmly puts locally sourced ingredients in the spotlight – think burrata with locally grown heirloom tomatoes, basil oil and pangrattato; seared scallops with apple, chilli jam and snow pea tendrils; and fried semolina eggplant cubes with Manuka honey. Mains include a shared whole shoulder of lamb, pan-fried Cone Bay barramundi and baked baby snapper. All these dishes can be enjoyed within one of the largest outdoor spaces on the north side with a leafy vista, outdoor heating and plenty of room.
