They've spent the past three years steaming up night markets and festivals, and now Bao Stop has two new permanent homes, going by the name of Cloud Thief. The Taiwanese street food snack gets packed out with some of the best ingredients and some new inspired flavour combos.

Order up a classic number like braised beef short rib with signature smoked plum barbecue sauce, pickled mustard greens, white onion pickles and Asian slaw; or beer battered barramundi fillet with Cloud Thief’s Asian tartare sauce, crisp iceberg lettuce, red radish and wasabi pea and seaweed crumb. Or up the ante with a premium bun, like the Singapore soft shell crab, which comes tossed in a chilli butter sauce and served with black beans, pickled mustard greens, Kewpie mayo, salted egg and spring onion; or the crisp skinned Peking duck, with cucumber, shredded iceberg lettuce and spring onion.

Along with the pillowy soft baos, you'll also find Peking duck loaded fries, salt and pepper tofu nuggets and roasted Brussels sprouts with rice cakes. There are two Cloud Thief locations, one that's already pumping at World Square and a Westfield Pitt Street Mall shop in the level 5 food court that's opening this week. Head there soon for a lunch time snack stop.
