Little Mule takes its moniker from the childhood nickname of owner and ex-Fratelli Fresh chef Liz Condon, who likes to serve up café classics with a point of difference – when was the last time you saw a curried egg sandwich in the Inner West? They've got Campos coffee, along with monthly single-origin offerings, for anyone needing a caffeine fix, and they make use of as much locally sourced and produced fare as possible – loaves come courtesy Bread and Butter Project and the mayo, pickled veggies and hummus are all made on-site. As popular with couples as it is with mums and their little ones, who love the novelty $1 mule ride in the corner.
