Time Out says

Get out your fascinators for a historic Sydney venue that’s hosting a five-course luncheon on Tuesday November 1

It may come as news to some that the seat of democracy in NSW is also home to a stately restaurant.

Strangers’ Restaurant is located within Parliament House on Macquarie Street, with charming views overlooking the Domain. It’s here that executive chef Vanessa Harcourt and her team offer menus showcasing modern Australian cuisine and a wide variety of seasonal produce sourced from throughout regional and rural New South Wales. The restaurant serves lunch and high tea, and also hosts events with plenty of aplomb.

Spring Racing season is upon us again soon and the restaurant is hosting a five-course Melbourne Cup Lunch on the big day, with an all-inclusive beverage package, six large TV screens, live entertainment, door prizes and sweeps.

Tickets are $169pp and $149pp for groups over ten. Bookings are essential. The luncheon books out every year, so be sure to get a gallop on.
