It’s a bit of an inner west rite of passage, the old late night cheesy Turkish pizza. Especially if a trip to the Town Hall Hotel is involved. But unlike others of its ilk, these don’t suck. In fact, they are actively good. We’re all about the Sucuklu - spicy Turkish sausage with heaps of garlic and an egg cooked into it. Or fried eggplant, onion and tomato and heaps of melted cheese tempered with a generous squeeze of lemon. This is a snack that can be eaten weaving home straight out of the box or, if you’re feeling civilised, grab a table and make like a grown-up.
