It has operated under many different banners, but the historic sandstone building on the corner of Belmore Road and Avoca Street in Randwick is now the Cookhouse. The vibe is more casual now, with pub style food like a beef and bacon burger, chargrilled kangaroo and house-made gnocchi. They also have a snacks menu with nothing over a tenner. If you don't feel like eating at all that's ok, they have a full bar license so you can make straight for the Young Henry's on tap or the $15 Bloody Marys without passing go.
