Time Out says

A steamin' hot coffee stop pulls into the Chatswood Station interchange

While Chatswood may boast five shopping malls (count 'em: Westfield, the Chase, the Mandarin Centre, Lemongrove and the newest interchange precinct) and plenty of decent dumpling joints, the 2077 is seriously behind the times when it comes to having any sort of serious café culture.

But that's changed now that the Steam Engine has pulled into the area, giving commuters and shoppers a much-needed caffeine fix. As spaces go, it's a hole-in-the-wall kinda joint, but even in those close quarters, they'te pumping out seriously decent brews. They've got the self-proclaimed 'Geek Stuff' – cold drip, aeropress and syphoned – or you can just stick with standards such as lattes to go. At the breakfast hour, you'll find chia trifle pods, vegan brownies and toasties, while lunch offerings run from pulled pork sandwiches to sweet potato salad.
