Truffles – divisive, pungent, hard-to-find and earthy – will be topping some of the Star's best dishes throughout the season, with three of its specialty restaurants creating special dishes to complement the winter fungi.
Over at Balla they will be hosting a four-course truffle degustation. Created by executive chef Gabriele Taddeucci, you'll enjoy the likes of tagliatelle served with black truffle, butter and reggiano and roasted guinea fowl wrapped in pancetta, porcini mushrooms and black truffle.
Black Bar and Grill will be doing three seasonal dishes featuring truffles, specially prepared by executive chef Dany Karam.
Sokyo's super chef Chase Kojima will be fusing sushi together with truffles, which will be complemented by a special selection of matched wines. Finally Pizzaperta will be firing up an earthy truffle and fontina cheese pizza for $35.
