[Sponsored] Barangaroo's own modern Australian waterfront restaurant 12-Micron will be hosting a special Chinese New Year dessert degustation, prepared by pastry chef Ashley Smith. The tasting menu will navigate some of 12-Micron's most popular dessert bar dishes, while also incorporating ingredients that are central to Asian desserts like matcha, miso and black sesame, alongside native ingredients like finger lime and Davidson plum. Each course can also be matched wines, cocktails and whiskies, which will enhance the flavours of each dish.

Start out with a strawberry cheesecake with herbaceous shiso jelly and riberry (paired with NV Monmousseau rosé if you’re doing the matching drinks); then move on to a delicate black sesame quinelle with finger lime and liquorice. Next up a matcha tart will be served with a Davidson plum sorbet (complemented by a Long Island Iced Tea); and then you'll enjoy a sphere of caramelized white chocolate with pear, rainforest lime and rich miso caramel. The degustation will be capped off with a refreshing 'Lucky Mandarin' fashioned out of mousse, mandarin and Australian fruit spice. The five-course dessert degustation is $80, or $120 including matching wines and cocktails.

Find out more about 12-Micron's Chinese New Year dessert degustation and book in today.
