North Sydney is a nexus for coffee on the hop but Voodoo maintains a neat balance between corporate caffeine and cuddlier single origin cuppas, be it at this flagship café or their nearby Blue Street operation. The voodoo that they do, they do well (and no chickens are sacrificed in its alchemy). But perhaps a truer test of their coffee-making mettle is that their coffee still stands up at the coffee carts they’ve smartly strewn across Pitt, York and George Street in the city. The Voodoo bean comes from their roaster in Chippendale as Premium or Serenata and both are bittersweet but buttery on impact.
