Time Out says

Singles with a ‘must love dogs’ dating criteria should head to this relaxed series of afternoon group dates

It is an undisputed fact (don’t @ us, you know it’s true) that everything is improved by dogs. And as one of the ultimate icebreakers – we’ve all said hi to our fave doggo in the park – it stands to reason that the addition of the few four-legged friends could radically improve the awkward dating scene.

This is the rationale behind the Golden Sheaf’s fun and furry take on the classic singles night. Sydneysiders looking for human companionship with a side of puppy cuddles are invited to meet likeminded folk, from 2pm-4pm on October 20 and November 17, to mingle over drinks, snacks and dog-related stories.

You can, of course, bring your own pooch as your wingman, but dogless daters won't miss out. With a little help from local rescue organisation, the Social Dog Company, there will be plenty of pups on-hand, and who knows, maybe you’ll make a connection – either human or canine.

The $42 ticket-price will gain you entry, plus a drink on arrival, canapés, and a doggy bag. A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to a range of different local rescue organisations, ensuring every rescue pet in Sydney will also feel the love.
