Sometimes the past is a nicer place to be than the present, and when it comes to shuffling through a collection of rare vinyl records in the Rocks one can really pretend that it’s 1978 again, which is always fun - except now you can google the best place to grab an exotic whiskey straight after you snag a sweet musical deal. Frankly, the '70s didn’t have everything covered.
This whole situation could become your reality this weekend, with it being the last weekend of Revolve Records’ vinyl pop-up store on the Nurse’s Walk in the Rocks, with their shop peddling a spicy variety of prog, psychedelic, funk, soul, blues, punk, reggae Australian music collectibles and general rock-pop ballads.
There’s bound to be a tiny and tuneful treasure for pretty much anyone.
With the last day coming in on May 1, this lil’ pop-up could be a cosy jolt of nostalgia this weekend for the curious and musically-discerning alike.
You can find them at 21 Nurses Walk, the Rocks from 10am to 6pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
