This Melbourne maker creates stone prints from your pictures

In a striking alternative to traditional artwork, the Melbourne-based creatives at On Stone handmake wood-framed art pieces by printing stone slabs with images of your choosing – so each piece is completely different, and tailored to you.

Just upload a family photo of you and your dad, and allow the makers at On Stone to work their magic – it's really that easy. It's also a good option for the environmentally conscious father, as On Stone uses only recycled timber for its frames, and bonds printed ink onto stone using a strong UV light for fade resistance and sustainability. If you'd rather not use an image of your choosing, they've also got an online store with a selection of art to choose from. Prices start at $90 for a 210mm x 150mm frame, and go up to $145 for a 420mm x 210mm frame.
