Remember when you had to actually leave Sydney and find a mountain if you wanted to go skiing? Well, that was so 2013. Because from Tuesday January 21, powder fiends can hit the slopes in Sydney all year at In2ski, Sydney's first (and for now only) indoor snow sports centre.
The centre is the baby of five-time aerial skiing world champion Jacqui Cooper and features a Maxxtracks ski slope simulator to create a mountain experience... just off Botany Road. There are three slopes to get on, plus a retailer and a café.
The centre says that a single hour on one of their indoor slopes is the equivalent of eight hours on a mountain, and they've got a bunch of experienced coaches on hand to help you with your fitness and skills with private or group coaching lessons.
Look, we're excited and with summer getting a little oppressive, we say: bring it on.
