Time Out says

Celebrate the important women in your life by putting your feet to good use

This year marks the 22nd anniversary for the fun run that raises money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The Mother’s Day Classic has contributed more than $30 million to breast cancer research over the years, which has made a significant impact on improving the diagnosis, treatment and management of breast cancer in Australia.

There are two courses to have a crack at in Sydney: one around Mrs Macquarie's Chair and one in Parramatta Park. Each event offers a 4km and 8km walk or run, and you’re encouraged to donate or commit to fundraising when you register.

In the CBD, runners tackling the full course will start on Macquarie Street, head out to Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, coming back through to the Domain before doing the entire loop again to make up the 8km. In Parramatta, you’ll sprint from Railway Parade through the historic grounds of Parramatta Park, passing landmarks like Old Government House, the Rotunda and Parramatta River before you reach the finish line at Cattle Paddock.

Both events start at 6.30am, and you can register and find your relevant race times on their website
