The world-acclaimed Québécois circus troupe is returning to Oz for their next arena show inspired by Avatar
There’s nothing on the stage quite like Cirque du Soleil. The Canadian company is loved for its breathtaking arena shows, which blend world-class acrobatics, cutting-edge visuals, puppetry and cinematic scores.
Each new Cirque du Soleil is inspired by a different theme – and this time, Toruk: The First Flight will transport audiences to the world of Pandora from James Cameron’s record-breaking film Avatar.
In this visually stunning, immersive production, Cirque du Soleil will bring Pandora to life, telling a story set thousands of years before the events in the film, before humans set foot on the country. The story will focus on the Na’vi’s close relationship to nature, and will feature visuals by multimedia innovators Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon.
Toruk: The First Flight lands in Sydney on October 19 for 11 shows only.

I am feeling offended for how dishonest you have been with the Australian audience for not been completely frank and let us know that this show wasn’t at all about acrobatics nor heart stopping acts.
We walked away in the intermediate together with at least 15 people and all of us were talking about how discontent and let down with we were with the show.
Amazing show. Scene changes were seamless, sets were awe-inspiring and cast was energetic to the very last moment of an extremely athletic performance. Great entertainment! A must-see production!
I was very much disappointed in this preference, it is the biggest waste of money. They definitely should not deceive people by saying its Cirque du Soleil, when really its a dancers. There was absolutely NO acrobatic acts or anything of that sorts. Not Happy!
