Playwave is giving teens the chance to snap up tickets to this exclusive night out at Sydney Theatre Company for just $25. On Wed Apr 18, you'll have the chance to witness Hugo Weaving in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui. Before the show, Playwave will host an intimate pre-show gathering and conversation with STC Artistic Director Kip Williams. You'll get a chance to meet other like-minded young people, before sitting down to an open conversation with Kip Williams. Sydney Theatre Company’s directing associate Jess Arthur will guide the conversation, discussing and dissecting the Brecht classic, giving you a behind-the-scenes snapshot of the five star production. There will also be time for Q&As, giving you the chance to pick the brains of one of Sydney's most respected directors.

After, you'll get to see Hugo Weaving in his powerful performance in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui. Bertolt Brecht’s 1941 play tells the story of a small-time gangster who heavies his way to a position of absolute power within the vegetable trade and city politics, using evasion and violently ruthless coercion. It’s a gripping piece of crime fiction with plenty of bloodshed, betrayal, corruption, twists and turns. Time Out Sydney gave it five stars, so you can expect a night of wonderfully entertaining and shocking theatre, all for just $25.
