Parramatta local Felicity Castagna has adapted her acclaimed novel about coming-of-age amongst the cars and charcoal chicken of Western Sydney
The National Theatre of Parramatta are premiering this new Australian work, adapted by local Felicity Castagna from her YA novel. The story follows teen Michael, a writer trying to navigate family, friendship and romance – and carve an identity beyond his popular older brother Dom – during the long, hot summer before he turns 15.
Bardiya McKinnon stars alongside Alex Cubis, Caroline Brazier, Libby Asiack, Olivia Simone, Ryan Peters and Sal Sharah. Wayne Harrison and Jeneffa Soldatic are co-directing.
