This hilarious reimagining of the Warner Bros musical returns to Sydney on the Belvoir stage this August, and you could be in on all the whip crackin’ action

This cheeky, revisionist take on the cheesy 1953 musical Calamity Jane was a sell-out smash at the Hayes Theatre in 2017.

Starring Virginia Gay as the feisty Jane, protector of the town of Deadwood, this farcical tale of mistaken identity with deliciously queer undertones makes a triumphant return this August to the larger venue of Belvoir’s Upstairs Theatre, running until September 30.

There will be on-stage table seating to bring the audience in among the action at the Deadwood Saloon. Our friends at Belvoir are offering a chance for you and three friends to win a table at a performance of your choice (subject to availability), along with programs and drinks vouchers. Make ours sarsaparilla!

To win, simply sign up to Time Out’s weekly newsletter, your guide to the week’s best events, before August 23. Already a subscriber? You can still enter, dagnabbit – just sign up
again (and we won’t send ya no multiple emails).
