Three American writers and one British data journalist (who lives in the US) will come together at Sydney Town Hall to talk about Donald Trump’s first fourth month in his presidency. New Yorker Colson Whitehead won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, he’s the author of The Underground Railroad. Time magazine named George Saunders one of the world’s 100 most influential people; he’s just written his first novel Lincoln in the Bardo and he wrote the New Yorker story Who Are All These Trump Supporters? Data journalist Mona Chalabi writes for the The Guardian US and a columnist at New York Magazine. They’ll be joined by editor-in-chief of Slate, Julia Turner, to dissect this age of ‘fake news’.
