Head to Barangaroo for markets, tours, music and dance showcasing Aboriginal arts and culture
The Blak Markets are returning to Barangaroo Reserve on Saturday March 11. This afternoon of market stalls, food, and Aboriginal culture runs from 2 to 8pm.
For the first time, the 20 market stalls will be set up on the magnificent Stargazer Lawn with beautiful views of the sunset over Sydney Harbour.
The markets will feature bush tucker stalls, arts and crafts activities, and live performances from Indigenous Australian band the Stiff Gins, as well as Mi-Kaisha, Evie J Willie and MC Angeline Penrith. There will be traditional storytelling by Tuckey Cooley, and traditional Aboriginal dance performances.
Stallholders will be selling bushfoods, arts, crafts, skincare products, and accessories, including Nulla Breeze Candles, Gillawarra Arts Aboriginal Jewellery, John Odgen photography and more.
All profits at the market go back to the producer or to Indigenous organisations working to improve outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
